This is the little girl, Amira Willighagen, who inspired me to create this blog. Amira is amazingly talented and has a wonderful voice! She wowed everyone during her audition on Holland's Got Talent a few days ago when she performed O Mio Babbino Caro from Puccini's Gianni Schicchi. It's hard to believe that she is only 9 years old! According to UK's Daily Mail, Amira taught herself to sing opera by watching YouTube videos.
The Guardian quotes Amira as saying:
"My brother Vincent plays violin, and I also wanted to do something … so I thought, I'm going to sing … and then I heard opera songs, which I found very beautiful and that's when I started singing."I wish this little girl all the best in all that is to come in her life.
